How To Set Up Stripe Account To Receive Payments
Follow this step by step process to create a Stripe Account and receive payments directly deposited int your bank account.
Setting up a Stripe Account is an important step in receiving your online payments from customers.
This 11 Step Instruction Document is very simple and outlines the exact steps you need to take in order to successfully create your Stripe Account. Once completed, we will be able to connect your Online Ordering Platform directly to your bank account and allow payments to be deposited seamlessly into your bank account.
1. Create Account
- Enter Business Email
- Type Full Name
- Enter Company Country
- Create Strong Password that you will remember
- Create Account

2. Activate Account Account
- Click Activate Account In The Top Left Corner
- Verify Email Address
If no email is in your corresponding inbox, check the spam or promotion folders. - Once your email is verified, complete activation by moving onto the next steps

3. Enter Business Structure
- Enter Registered Business Address
- Select the Appropriate Type Of Business
Depending on the selection, an additional drop down will have you select the business structure (ie. Sole Proprietorship, Single member LLC, etc.) **This will affect various questions asked in further steps including EIN of SSN** - Move onto the Next Step
4. Enter Business Details
- Enter Appropriate Business Information based on Business Structure
Information asked may include Business Name, Sole Proprietor Name, EIN or SSN, or FFN or DBA name. - Enter Registered Business Address
- Enter Business Industry
For Restaurants and Food Trucks, select Food and Drink and choose Restaurants and Nightlife from the subcategory selection. - Enter Business Website
If you do not own a domain use your The Foody Gram link (ie. thefoodygram.co/restaurantname). If you do have a domain we have successfully forwarded or anticipate using, use that domain (ie. www.RestaurantName.com). - Enter a Product Description for what it is you sell

5. Add Business Representative Name
- Enter Legal Representative Name
The account needs to be activated by someone who is authorized to represnt the organization. - Enter Email Address
- Enter Date of Birth
- Enter Home Address

6. Add Business Representative Name

7. Fulfillment Details
- Enter Statement Descriptor
A statement descriptor is the business name customers will see on their card statements. It is important you use info relevant to your business to ensure customers do not dispute charges. **If you are using the TFG link as your website, this info will default to The Foody Gram. Change this to something relevant to your business** - Enter Shortened Descriptor
- Enter Customer Support Phone Number
You can use your business phone number here. This is where customers will contact should they need information from your business. - Enter Customer Support Address

8. Add Bank Details
VERY IMPORTANT STEP!! This step allows you to receive your payments directly deposited to your bank account.
- Search or Enter Bank Details Manually
Manually entering bank information requires bank Routing Number and Account Number. Using the search feature will require you to securely login to your banks online banking platform. - Move onto the Next Step
9. Two-Step Authentication
2 step authentication keeps your account secure and requires another form of login in addition to your account password.
- Choose a Medium for 2 Step Authentication
SMS uses your account phone number to receive text messages and is easier than using an Authenticator App. - Move onto the Next Step
10. Contribute To Climate Change
OPTIONAL STEP!! This step allows you to send a portion of income to supporting green and anti climate control efforts.

Contact your The Foody Gram Representative to confirm you have completed these steps and successfully activate your Stripe Account! We will now be able to attach your account to your Foody Gram online ordering platform to receive all your payments and have them deposited directly into your account.
